Protrusions may be formed in the bearing housing holes

The fixed supports at both ends generally consist of symmetrically arranged angular contact ball bearings or tapered roller bearings. When the axial force is small and the supported working part is located on the shaft between the two bearings, in order to make the support have good rigidity, a pair of angular contact bearings that are being installed as shown in Figure 2 can be used. One end is fixed and the other end is swimming When the shaft is long or the working temperature is high, due to the large amount of expansion and contraction, it is advisable to choose a form with one end fixed and one end swimming to ensure the free expansion and contraction of the shaft. Because of the few fastening points, protrusions may be formed in the bearing housing holes. Compared with threaded lock nuts, they have less runout and provide higher accuracy. 

In machine tool applications, the working end bearing usually transfers the axial load from the shaft to the bearing seat to locate the spindle. The fixed form of the bearing is the different way of movement of the rolling bearing, and the bearing positioning method refers to the circumferential fixation of the inner and outer rings of the rolling bearing by the inner ring and the shaft, and the outer ring and several holes. When the axial force is small, the ball bearing shown in the upper part of Figure 3 (or the short cylindrical roller bearing with separable inside and outside on the moving end, as shown in the lower part of Figure 3) can be used tensioner bearings kit for support. For shafts that require left and right bidirectional swimming, a shafting structure with swimming at both ends can be adopted, such as a pair of herringbone gear shafts. Generally, some suitable methods are needed to axially locate the bearing ring. Tapered roller bearings and angular contact bearings are not suitable to be used as a medium-thickness qualified for swimming, because they must be adjusted to ensure normal rotation. Spacer positioning method It is convenient to use spacer sleeves or spacer rings between bearing rings or between bearing rings and adjacent parts instead of integral shaft shoulders or bearing seat shoulders (Figure 7). The rollers and cages of this type of bearing can move on the raceway in the bearing ring without ribs. Positioning of stepped shaft sleeve Another method of bearing axial positioning is to use stepped bushings (Figure 8). It is a very economical method to use the floating support at both ends on the shaft that does not need to be tightly positioned. If the wall thickness between the bearing seat and the screw hole is too small, or the screw is tightened too tightly, the outer ring Clutch Release Bearing raceway may be deformed. 

The following four examples illustrate the fixing methods of bearings: Figure 9. Swimming at both ends. These bushings are particularly suitable for precision bearing arrangements. When the axial force is not large, the radial ball bearing shown in Figure 1 can be used for support. During installation, adjust a ring of the bearing axially until the proper clearance or the required preload is obtained. Fixed end cap positioning method When installing the bearing outer ring with interference fit, usually one side of the outer ring is against the shoulder on the bearing seat, and the other side is fixed with a fixed end cover. N-type and NU-type cylindrical roller bearings are ideal floating bearings. When the moving end bearing is free from axial force, the bidirectional fixed end can bear the bidirectional axial force. In addition, the axial clearance between the end face of the bearing seat and the end cover flange should also be checked. Deep groove ball bearings, self-aligning ball bearings, and spherical roller bearings are most suitable for floating bearings. Therefore, usually the working end bearing is axially positioned, while the drive end bearing is free to move axially.
